“This site is hilarious! You type in the name of a friend and it will run searches on MySpace, Friendster, Facebook and more. Create profiles on your friends and save them to your “buddy list”, then you can just click their name and see all their profiles later on! The buddy list also shows you who’s online by checking their IM statuses.”

I’d like to review a product that I have been using for quite a while CopyWrite. I have been using this program for months, I was lucky enough to find it on the Apple OS X downloads page while I was looking for a nice writer assistant type of program. I was sick of Word and I wanted something that would help keep me organized and be a little bit more functional for my needs.

It does everything I need it to do in a tight very easy to learn interface. CopyWrite allows me to make notes in the notes tray, lets me break up my writing into chapters and will also allow me to save multiple pieces in one document. It has a built in spell check and word/character counter. I can also add outside url’s for quick click reference. The best feature in my opinion is the full screen mode. I find this especially useful, since I’m easily distracted by chat and other things on my desktop. In full screen mode, I can concentrate totally on my writing, no distractions. It also allows you to export your finished work, with or without your notes, into many different formats. It is fully customizable in both how it displays your work on screen or when you print or export to file. CopyWrite also features a comprehensive backup that allows for saving while working and the ability to backup to a different location when you close your file.

It is a very nice program and I highly recommend it to anyone who takes their writing seriously and are on the Mac platform.

Well it is a new week and I am slowly recovering from the plague that I contracted last week. I am taking it slow today but I did find a few very funny links that I wanted to share with you.

  • All I can say is WOW! It amazes me how a dead ball of rock in space can look so amazing.
  • Apple Pro website. Very cool.
  • If all Poison Ivy looked like that I wouldn’t mind.
  • Clowns in government passing laws against real clowns, how sad.
  • All I can say is OMG!

“There’s no word better than “ultimate” to convey the impression that you’re getting nothing but the best. However, when it comes to Microsoft’s new software, whatever you end up getting is going to cost you heaps. And all those bits and bytes can be yours for just US$679, the price of a fairly handy desktop computer.”

This is a funny article but also a bit scary as the iPod has become more than just an mp3 player, it has become a social icon.

“The Observer takes a look at why Apple’s iPod has risen to become the most sought-after product in the company’s history, and why people love it so much.”

Once again I have to tip my hat to Mur Lafferty for pointing out a podcast dedicated to Farscape. I loved that show from the first time I caught it way back in 2000. I found it on the Sci Fi Channel and watched or taped every episode till it’s demise in 2003. I was very sorry to see it go. But no I can get my fix with the Scapecast. Thank you Mur I’ve been looking for a podcast about ‘Scape for a long time.
